About Saint Dominic's School
Saint Dominic's School, a program of Saint Dominic's Family Services, provides a structured, therapeutic educational environment that emphasizes individualized support and high expectations to help students reach their full academic, social, and emotional potential. The school serves students in grades PreK through 12 with a range of special needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Emotional Disability, Learning Disability, and Speech or Language Impairment.
The school maintains a low student-to-staff ratio of 8:1:1/2 and develops Individualized Education Plans tailored to each learner's strengths and needs in partnership with families. A full range of related services supports each student, including counseling, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy, and breakfast and lunch are provided daily in the K-12 program.
Elementary and middle school students learn in a small, structured environment focused on academics and social-emotional development, while high school students engage in a curriculum that balances academic instruction with real-world vocational experience through a Community-Based Vocational Work Program. Students are referred by their local districts' Committees on Special Education.
