Founded in 1945, Maplebrook School is a fully accredited New York high school and postsecondary program for teens and young adults with learning disabilities and diverse learning profiles. Located just outside New York City at the foot of the Berkshires, the school pairs small class sizes of 4 to 8 students with a 5:1 student-to-faculty ratio and dedicated live-in faculty who help students excel academically, grow socially, and build lasting life skills. Maplebrook's programs integrate strong academics with daily living skills, executive functioning training, and social-emotional development. Comprehensive support services include speech and language therapy, occupational therapy with referrals for physical therapy, counseling and life coaching, and executive functioning support and transition planning. Advanced pathways such as the RISE Program are designed to support independent living and career readiness. Campus life spans more than 95 acres and includes a full range of student activities, clubs, and weekend programming that build friendships and reinforce a healthy, purposeful lifestyle.
