About Neuwoehner School

Neuwoehner High School in Town and Country is a public separate-setting high school for students receiving special education services, operated by Special School District of St. Louis County, the largest specialized education provider in Missouri. Our students have diverse and complex educational needs, and we partner with them and their families as they prepare for adult life.

Students come from partner districts in the central region of St. Louis County, including Brentwood, Clayton, Kirkwood, Ladue, Maplewood-Richmond Heights, Normandy, Ritenour, Pattonville, University City, and parts of Parkway and Rockwood.

Our PBIS program, T.E.A.M. Tiger, teaches behavior and social skills with one schoolwide language; students earn tickets to spend in the school store, and guidance groups and peer mentoring give extra support. Students also attend an annual career fair, plant gardens for Earth Day, and enjoy visiting performances such as the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra.

Play-based learning Infant and toddler care Kindergarten readiness

Apple of Your Eye Learning Center has cared for and taught young children in South County St. Louis for more than 40 years. We are a state-licensed center enrolling children from six weeks old through kindergarten, and we are open year-round, Monday through Friday, from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Our preschool curriculum for three- and four-year-olds is built around play and covers language, mathematics, science, social science, fine arts, foreign languages, and large and small motor skills. Four-year-olds work on letter and number recognition, counting to 20, shapes and colors, writing their first name and holding a pencil correctly, along with social skills such as taking turns and using words to settle conflicts. Outdoor time is part of every day. Children go on field trips, and we run a summer camp program. Teachers meet with each family twice a year for parent-teacher conferences, and teachers guide behavior through redirection and time-outs.
