About Green Park Lutheran School
Green Park Lutheran School opened on September 5, 1961, with 355 children on a former six-acre truck farm at Union and Green Park Roads in South St. Louis County. Today we serve 265 students in Junior Kindergarten through 8th grade, with an average class size of 19 and 17 full-time teachers. Four Lutheran Church Missouri Synod congregations own and operate the school: Christ Memorial, Gethsemane, Peace and Resurrection.
Our Resource Room, run in cooperation with the Lutheran Association for Special Education, offers full-time special education support and study help at no additional cost. Students diagnosed with learning or mental health disabilities can qualify, and so can students who are at risk or struggling. Services include pull-out and in-class support, IEPs, intervention plans and Individualized Service Plans, along with audiobooks, smart pens, alternative seating and fidget tools.
JK3 and JK4 families choose two, three or five days a week. Before and After School Care runs from 6:30 a.m. and again after dismissal. Students play soccer, volleyball, basketball, track and cross country, join band, choir, strings or robotics, and attend weekly chapel. We are accredited by NLSA and Missouri Non-Public School Accreditation.

Apple of Your Eye Learning Center
Apple of Your Eye Learning Center has cared for and taught young children in South County St. Louis for more than 40 years. We are a state-licensed center enrolling children from six weeks old through kindergarten, and we are open year-round, Monday through Friday, from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Our preschool curriculum for three- and four-year-olds is built around play and covers language, mathematics, science, social science, fine arts, foreign languages, and large and small motor skills. Four-year-olds work on letter and number recognition, counting to 20, shapes and colors, writing their first name and holding a pencil correctly, along with social skills such as taking turns and using words to settle conflicts. Outdoor time is part of every day. Children go on field trips, and we run a summer camp program. Teachers meet with each family twice a year for parent-teacher conferences, and teachers guide behavior through redirection and time-outs.
Central Institute for the Deaf
We teach children who are deaf or hard of hearing to develop listening, spoken language and academic skills at Central Institute for the Deaf in St. Louis. Our early childhood center serves ages 3–5 through play, language activities and individual assessment-based instruction. Our primary school serves ages 5–12, grouping students by their needs in each subject. Instruction includes reading, writing, math, social studies, speech and listening. We also teach self-advocacy and independence as students prepare for a general education setting.
