About Rossman School
Two St. Louis teachers, Mary B. Rossman and Helen Schwaner, opened Rossman School in 1917 for grades three through six on Delmar Boulevard. Today we are an independent preparatory school for Junior Kindergarten (age 4) through Grade 6 on a 20-acre campus on Conway Road, with a four-lane track, two playgrounds, wooded nature trails, and a treehouse.
We keep one class per grade, and two full-time homeroom teachers plan and teach each class together. Our 29 teachers average 17 years in education, and our student-teacher ratio is 8:1. Language arts and mathematics are enriched by art, Spanish, Latin, library, music, physical education, science, and social studies, and a learning consultant works with our faculty.
Character education centers on kindness, honesty, respect, and responsibility. Tuition for 2026-2027 is $25,095 for Junior and Senior Kindergarten and $26,530 for grades 1 to 6, lunch included, with need-based tuition assistance. Afterschool Enrichment and Extended Day care run until 5:30 p.m.

Other Schools in Creve Coeur, MO
Andrews Academy - Creve Coeur
Andrews Academy has taught St. Louis children since 1979, and our Creve Coeur campus on North Mason Road serves students from junior kindergarten through sixth grade on a wooded campus with gardens and nature trails. We are an independent, non-religious, co-educational private elementary school and a member of the Independent Schools of St. Louis. Our curriculum builds strong skills in math, reading, writing, spelling, grammar, science and social studies, alongside art, computer science, library, music, Spanish, physical education and performing arts. Spanish begins in kindergarten. Classes are small, students give presentations at regular all-school assemblies, and field trips are part of the academic program. Hands-on STEM work has included the SeaPerch underwater robotics competition, and students take on projects tied to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The building includes science labs, research libraries, a performing arts stage, a gymnasium and spaces for technology, music and art, with open fields for outdoor learning and sports. Our Student Ambassador Program leads community service projects and a Little Free Library. We also offer sports, before and after care and a summer camp, and financial assistance is available.
Bellerive Elementary School
Bellerive Elementary is a public K–5 school in Parkway School District, serving more than 400 students in Creve Coeur. The school centers learning, relationships and leadership. Through its Leader in Me Lighthouse work, children practice taking responsibility and contributing to their school community. Staff give students opportunities to lead as they move through the elementary grades. Bellerive also hosts a site-based Deaf/Hard of Hearing program run by the Special School District of St. Louis County. That support operates within a general elementary-school setting; families seeking the program can ask how SSD and Parkway coordinate placement and services. Bellerive's main office at 620 Rue de Fleur Drive can answer questions about the school day and enrollment.
