The Early Childhood Learning Center sits on the west side of the Glencoe-Silver Lake main campus in Glencoe and brings together several programs for children from birth to kindergarten. Our School Readiness Preschool, known as Panther Preschool, offers half-day classes for children who are 3 or 4 by September 1, and it holds a Four Star Parent Aware rating, the highest available in Minnesota. Early Childhood Family Education welcomes every family with children up to kindergarten entry, with classes and events that parents and children attend together. We also provide free Early Childhood Screening for 3- and 4-year-olds, which children complete once before kindergarten. Early Intervention and Early Childhood Special Education serve children from birth to kindergarten with developmental delays in cognitive, communication, motor, adaptive or social-emotional skills, or with vision or hearing loss, and evaluations and services cost families nothing. Our ECSE team includes teachers for infants and toddlers and for ages 3 to 5, along with two speech-language pathologists.
