Clinton County Educational Center

Head Start, community play groups, Early Childhood Special Education classrooms and Early On staff share Clinton County Educational Center with Clinton County RESA's moderate and severe cognitive impairment programs. Our St. Johns building brings these early childhood and special education programs into one setting, including opportunities for parents and children to participate together. The programs at the center draw on a wider agency network. Clinton County RESA provides speech and language therapy, school social work, occupational and physical therapy, school psychology and consultation for hearing or visual impairments. We work with local districts and families on those services for eligible learners, matching educational support to students' needs.

Agency programs reach children from their early years through school. Selected disability programs extend through age 25. Assistive technology support accompanies that work, and transition planning begins for students age 16 and older. Families, local school partners and community agencies contribute to the planning around each student. We connect the programs in our building with those broader services and with the transition resources students can use as they grow.
