Neighborhood Child Care Center & Preschool

Neighborhood Child Care & Preschool is dedicated to fostering a nurturing environment for children aged 2.5 to 5 years, particularly those with unique developmental needs. The school's core mission is to support each child's growth through a play-based curriculum that emphasizes life skills, independence, and character development. This approach not only prepares children for future educational endeavors but also instills essential traits that contribute to their lifelong success.

The program incorporates nature-based activities, taking advantage of the beautiful Michigan landscape and the nearby Rochester Park to enhance vocabulary and creative expression. Daily outdoor play is integral, as it promotes gross motor development and essential social skills such as problem-solving, teamwork, and confidence building. The school's innovative rotating classroom model allows children to explore various learning centers, encouraging independence and choice in their learning journey.

What sets Neighborhood Child Care & Preschool apart is its commitment to a multi-age setting that fosters natural mentorship among peers. Older children learn patience and leadership by guiding younger classmates, while younger ones benefit from observing their older counterparts. This unique structure reduces undesirable behaviors often found in age-homogeneous groups, creating a harmonious learning atmosphere. Additionally, the school prioritizes flexibility in scheduling to accommodate diverse family needs, ensuring that every child feels right at home in this supportive community.
