Overview

Integrity Educational Services (IES) is dedicated to providing exceptional educational opportunities for students with diverse needs, including those facing challenges in traditional educational settings. With a core mission centered on fostering student growth and achievement, IES serves at-risk teens and students with special education needs through its two primary institutions: Lighthouse Academy and Hope Academy of West Michigan.

Key offerings at IES include a range of specialized programs designed to support academic success and personal development. Lighthouse Academy focuses on providing a safe and nurturing environment for students who may be expelled or court-involved, utilizing evidence-based practices such as Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and individualized learning plans. Hope Academy of West Michigan offers tailored educational strategies for students struggling in both private and public school settings, incorporating methodologies like Orton-Gillingham for literacy development, speech and language therapy, and occupational therapy. Additionally, both academies provide social skills groups and vocational training to prepare students for future success.

What sets Integrity Educational Services apart is its commitment to core values such as respect, inclusiveness, and collaboration, ensuring that every student is treated with dignity and given the tools necessary for success. The schools maintain low student-teacher ratios, allowing for personalized attention and support. Furthermore, IES emphasizes community integration and offers summer programs that enrich students' learning experiences, making it a beacon of hope for families seeking effective educational solutions for their children.

In 2008, Wedgwood Christian Services (a nonprofit social service 501c3 agency) applied for and received a Strict Discipline charter contract through Ferris State University to provide educational services to expelled, court placed and special education students through Lighthouse Academy. One of the legal requirements was that Lighthouse had to become a separate legal entity from Wedgwood, which was done at this time. The school began educating students under the charter in 2008 under the management of a for-profit Educational Service provider (ESP).
