Marion D. Crouse Instructional Center

The Marion D. Crouse Instructional Center is a year-round, center-based school run by the Genesee Intermediate School District for students identified with severe cognitive impairment (SCI) and severe multiple impairments (SXI). We serve about 200 students, ages 3 through 26, who come to us from 21 local school districts across Genesee County.

Instruction happens in school, at home, and in the community, and our staff work as a team around each student. That team includes teachers, para-educators, consultants, occupational therapists, speech therapists, a music therapist, physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant, nurses, and a social worker, with volunteer grandparents adding extra hands in the building.

Our Flushing campus is part of Genesee ISD's special education services, alongside programs such as the Elmer A. Knopf Learning Center and the Transition Center.
