Saint Teresa of Calcutta School was formed in 2022 when Holy Family Holy Name and St. James St. John Schools merged. Our campus combines the former St. James St. John school with a newly renovated middle school building, the former Kennedy Youth Center. We serve preschool for 3- and 4-year-olds through grade 8 and belong to the Diocese of Fall River Catholic Schools Alliance. Through a partnership with The S.E.A.L. Foundation, on-site special education teachers support students with learning differences. Students in kindergarten through grade 2 can receive Orton-Gillingham instruction, and we write an individualized service or accommodation plan for students whose district has approved an IEP or 504 plan. A building-based student support team coordinates help, and we welcome applicants with language processing, written expression, or nonverbal learning differences when we have the resources they need. Middle school teachers rotate by subject so students in grades 6 to 8 learn from specialists in science, technology, engineering, art, math, language arts, social studies, religion, and world language. Before and after school care is available for a fee.
