Bel Air High School, home of the Bobcats, is a public high school in Bel Air, Maryland, located on Heighe Street and serving grades 9 through 12. As a comprehensive public school, it educates a wide range of students from across the community. Harford Day School is an independent, coeducational day school in Bel Air, Maryland, serving children from age 3 (its PK3 "Little Dragons" program) through Grade 8. A small group of parents founded it in September 1957, opening with 30 children in kindergarten through second grade in a leased two-room schoolhouse. The school added a grade each year, bought eight acres on Moores Mill Road in 1961, and built the campus it still occupies today. It is accredited by the Association of Independent Maryland and DC Schools (AIMS) and is organized into three divisions: Preschool, Lower School (Grades 1 to 5), and Middle School (Grades 6 to 8).
