KORE Academy began in 2003, when a small group of parents created the school their children with learning differences needed after traditional classrooms fell short. The name stands for Kids Obtaining Real Education, and today we enroll students in grades 1 to 12. Our neurodiversity-affirming teachers build an individualized learning plan for each student using a strengths-based approach, and we presume competence in all of our students. Instruction is project based, classes are small, and we provide reading and math interventions. KORE is a no-homework school: students have a daily study hall where work gets finished in the classroom with support. The school day also includes art, music, theatre, foreign language, and recess, and students join after-school clubs, field trips, and summer enrichment. KORE is an accredited private school in Lexington.

This community is accessible any time day or night, builds connection with other families, brings OT directly to you and provides ongoing therapy training and techniques for children with a variety of disabilities. The goal is to remove some of the barriers in accessing OT, whether that is provider availability, transportation, scheduling or finances. I aim to bring amazing sessions every week to engage you and your kiddos!

Academy of Learning is dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment tailored for children with diverse learning needs, including those with language-based learning disabilities and twice-exceptional students. The school's core mission revolves around fostering imagination, creativity, and play, allowing each child to explore their world safely while developing essential skills. With a focus on holistic growth, Academy of Learning offers a range of programs that prioritize healthy eating through an FDA-accredited food program and engaging activities that promote life skills and social interaction. The summer camp experience is particularly noteworthy, transforming the centers into vibrant spaces where campers participate in swimming, ice skating, gardening, and art projects led by experienced instructors. These activities not only enhance creativity but also culminate in exciting art exhibitions that celebrate the children's achievements.
