About Manhattan Virtual Academy
Manhattan Virtual Academy has offered online school to Kansas families for 18 years. We are a fully accredited, tuition-free public school for grades 6 to 12, open to students across the state, and our teachers are Kansas licensed.
Every course includes a live vClass session with the course teacher at a consistent weekly time, and students can join extra support sessions when they need help. Our curriculum uses FlexPoint Education and eDynamic Learning materials aligned to Kansas College and Career Ready Standards, and our courses are NCAA approved for student-athletes aiming at Division I or II. Students in 11th and 12th grade, and some 10th graders, can earn early college credit tuition-free through programs such as Certified Nurse Aide, Welding, Medical Coding, Veterinary Technician and Wind Energy Technology.
We provide special education services, related supports and 504 plan accommodations in the virtual setting. Students stay connected through virtual clubs, hangouts and optional social outings, and our counselors build an Individual Plan of Study with each student.

Crche at Grand Mere
Crèche at Grand Mere is the Westside Manhattan campus of Crèche Day Schools, designed for children from 2.5 years old through kindergarten age. Infants and young toddlers attend The Cradle, our sister building on the same street. Grand Mere is open from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on weekdays, and families can join a waitlist. Our approach draws on Reggio Emilia, with teachers who follow children's interests and guide academic learning through intentional play. Weekly lesson plans come from The Creative Curriculum, using NAEYC criteria, with a non-denominational monthly Christian supplement. Days include process art, literacy, hands-on STEM, music, early print work, motor skill work, outdoor time, physical education and rest. Enrichment adds music, fitness and movement, language immersion and nutrition lessons. Our Early Preschool, Preschool and PreKindergarten classrooms build step by step toward kindergarten readiness. Children check in and out with a fingerprint scan, classroom areas need a security code, and the building is video monitored and has a tornado safe room. Parents may visit their child's classroom at any time, and Crèche offers support for military families.
