Strong Roots Christian School began in the spring of 2022, when a group of Indianola families set out to offer Christian education from preschool through 12th grade in their own town. By that August our doors were open, and we now teach on two campuses: the Primary Campus on West Second Avenue and a Second Campus on East Second Avenue for older students. Our youngest learners start in a 2-day Prep or 3-day Kinderprep class, then move into kindergarten and single-grade elementary classrooms, where 4th graders study Iowa History. Secondary students take science, math, Bible and economics from subject teachers, along with French, American Sign Language, and family and consumer sciences. Specials run across the grades: art, K-12 music, and P.E. with health and CPR instruction, plus a school library. A youth pastor meets weekly with each middle and high school class in small groups for discussion and encouragement. Scripture is part of every subject, and we see Christian schooling as an extension of the home, so parents and staff work closely together. Tuition rates are shared during the enrollment visit.
