About Highland Christian School
Highland Christian School was founded in 1909. Our current campus has been in use since 1951, and a new west wing opened in 2023. We are a parent-governed, Christian Reformed school for preschool through grade 8, enrolling families who profess Christian faith and belong to a local Protestant church. Our program is accredited by Christian Schools International and Cognia.
Preschoolers ages 3 to 5 attend our Sonshine Enrichment Center in the main building. Kindergarten is full day, and classes are capped at 22 students in K to 3 and 24 in grades 4 to 8. Every grade has Bible, art, music, technology, PE and library. Students in grades 1 to 5 who need extra help work with our Discovery Center teacher, junior high students use the Academic Support Center, and high-ability students in grades 3 to 8 can join Quest. Junior high adds band, choir and yearbook electives plus soccer, basketball, volleyball, track and cross country.
We run six bus routes, a peanut-free hot lunch program five days a week, and before and after care from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. We accept Indiana School Choice Scholarships.
