About AtoZ Preschool
AtoZ Preschool is a state-licensed, home-based Montessori preschool in Villa Park, opened in 2014 by our founder, a Montessori-certified teacher with more than 30 years of experience who spent a decade teaching Pre-K before starting her own program. We blend Montessori principles with Reggio-inspired practices in an Islamic Montessori setting.
Children ages 3 to 6 learn together in a multi-age classroom with child-sized furniture and open shelves. They choose their own work, and the teacher introduces new self-correcting materials when each child is ready. Our curriculum covers practical life skills such as pouring, food preparation, and dressing, plus sensorial work, phonics and early reading, writing, hands-on math up through place value and simple fractions, botany and zoology, geography, and fine arts. Children also learn basic Arabic vocabulary, letter formation, and songs.
We offer a lunch program. Families secure a place with a deposit and pay tuition by Zelle, Venmo, or check. Enrollment is currently full, and families can join our waitlist.

Montessori Children's Academy
Chibi L. Teng founded Montessori Children's Academy in 1983, and for more than 42 years our independent school on a tree-lined Villa Park street has cared for and taught children from 6 weeks to 6 years old using the philosophy, methods and materials of Dr. Maria Montessori. Children move through five classrooms: the Nido Room for infants from 6 weeks to 15 months, the Purple Room for toddlers from 15 to 24 months, the Green Room for 2- and 3-year-olds, and two primary rooms, Red and Yellow, for ages 3 to 6. Primary students have uninterrupted Montessori work time, and we offer an advanced kindergarten extended-day program, Spanish, a formal music curriculum, art, sports, field trips, a family musical production and summer camp. Outdoor time is a priority on our large playground and on neighborhood nature walks. We are licensed by DCFS and belong to the American Montessori Society and the Association of Illinois Montessori Schools. All staff hold infant and child CPR and first aid certification, doors stay locked with access for enrolled families only, and we are open weekdays from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
North Elementary School
North Elementary School is home to about 420 Penguins in kindergarten through fifth grade in Villa Park School District 45. Our motto sums up what we expect of students: responsible, resilient and ready to excel. Grade level and building teams meet often to review student data and plan instruction around what each class needs next. Our work with PBIS and social emotional learning has earned Platinum recognition from the state of Illinois three years running. Students can join Boys Club, Girls Club, Conservation Club, Chorus, Drumline, K-Kids, Safety Patrol and Welcome Buddies, and older students play in district band and orchestra with support from our Music Boosters. Our PTA runs academic and social programs through the year, including Trunk or Treat, movie nights and winter parties, and our school community celebrates art and culture with events such as Frida Fest and a holiday Posada. We also offer a school meal program and district transportation.
