Homer Junior High School is the 7th and 8th grade building for Homer Community Consolidated School District 33C, on Bell Road in Homer Glen. We are one of six schools in the district, and students arrive here after Hadley Middle School. Students with disabilities are served through the district's Special Services Department, which provides a continuum of special education from age 3 through 8th grade. Services follow each student's IEP, ranging from inclusive general education settings to special education classrooms, and address cognitive, academic, communication and social-emotional needs. Eligible students receive Section 504 accommodation plans, and the department supports assistive technology. After school, our students can join Cooking Club, Craft Club, Science Club, Student Council, Art Club, Fitness Club and the Speech Squad, which competes in IESA. Craft Club meets in our STEAM Room, and an after-school activity bus is available to students who sign up for it. Fee waiver families pay reduced or no club fees. Athletics and the Homer 33C Band are also part of junior high life.
