About Zion Concord Lutheran School
Zion-Concord Lutheran School in Bensenville offers Classical Christian education from 3-year-old preschool through grade 8, as a ministry of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, a confessional congregation of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. We are nationally accredited by the National Lutheran School Association and recognized by the Illinois State Board of Education.
Our classical approach moves through grammar, logic, and rhetoric stages. Younger students memorize Scripture, history facts, and math facts through songs and chants, begin Latin vocabulary in grade 3, and learn Luther's Small Catechism. Hymns, poetry, great books, daily chapel, and a weekly hymn sing run through the school day, and students use 1:1 Chromebooks and STEM programs.
Our play-based preschool offers 3-day, 5-half-day, and 5-full-day options for 3- and 4-year-olds, including a late-start 3-year-old class. Before school care starts at 7:00 a.m. and after school care runs until 6:00 p.m.
