CORE Academy

Prairie View Montessori sits at the end of the road in Aurora's Ginger Woods community. Families join us from Aurora, Naperville, Batavia, North Aurora, Geneva and St. Charles. Our preschool and kindergarten classes group children in three-year age spans, so students stay with the same teachers longer and older children act as role models. Preschool families choose a half-day morning session from 8:00 a.m. to noon, an afternoon session from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m., or a full day from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with optional hot lunch, nap and afternoon activities, on three, four or five-day schedules. Kindergarten includes the full Montessori curriculum plus preparatory work for elementary. Children start preschool at age three, once they are toilet independent. Our ten-month academic year is followed by three-week Summer Splash! sessions.

Black Bear Academy is an esteemed therapeutic day school and clinical pediatric practice located in Chicago's Lakeview/North Center neighborhood. Founded in 2003, Black Bear Academy provides intensive therapeutic education and early intervention for children ages 18 months through 10 years with speech-language delays, developmental delays, autism spectrum disorder, and sensory motor challenges. With low 3:1 classroom ratios, the academy bridges the gap between clinical therapy and academic schooling by integrating speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, behavioral therapy, and academic instruction into a cohesive daily schedule. Black Bear Academy prepares young learners for long-term academic success through structured early childhood, therapeutic kindergarten, and lower elementary classrooms.
