Portneuf Valley Technical Education and Career Campus, known as PV-TEC, is the regional career technical education center for Pocatello Chubbuck School District 25 in Chubbuck. High school students from Century, Highland and Pocatello High School attend our programs, and bus transportation runs to our campus from all three. We offer 21 CTE pathways, 14 of which lead directly to entry level employment. Options include veterinarian assistant, natural resources, broadcasting, culinary arts, computer programming and cybersecurity, construction trades, industrial welding, and a First Responders Academy in EMT, fire safety and law enforcement. Health professions students can train as a certified nurse assistant, medical assistant or pharmacy technician. Each pathway starts with an introduction class for sophomores, moves to intermediate courses, and ends with a capstone for juniors and seniors that includes job shadowing and work experience. Students can earn industry recognized certifications and college credit, and completers take a Technical Skills Assessment. Our 18 faculty and staff also advise six career and technical student organizations, including HOSA.
