Stockbridge Middle School

Stockbridge Middle School, home of the SMS Tigers, serves grades 6 to 8 for Henry County Schools. Alongside core classes, our students can take high school credit courses, fine arts, STEM and world languages, and the district's STEM for All initiative brings science, technology, engineering and math opportunities into every grade.

We set aside first period for reading and math support, when students work in programs such as Read 180, System 44, Math 180 and REP. The State Superintendent of Schools has recognized our school for growth and achievement in Algebra I.

After the bell, students can join athletics from football to track, and a wrestling interest meeting is on this year's calendar. Academic and service activities include the Reading Bowl, Chess Club, mentoring clubs, National Junior Beta Club and National Junior Honor Society. A clinic aide runs our health clinic in the front office.
