Livingstone Academy - Valrico

Interactive Education Academy is a private school in Valrico, Florida that serves middle and high school students with specific learning disabilities and other exceptionalities. It began as the Dyslexia Institutes of America in 2001 and became a private school focused on dyslexia education and related needs including autism, ADHD/ADD, and specific learning disabilities. The school emphasizes teaching to the individual student rather than a standard, with small classes of no more than 15 students per teacher and modified pacing. Students receive a well-rounded education that supports academic proficiency alongside core values such as respect, perseverance, and self-reliance. High school graduates receive a diploma and preparation for college, vocational programs, the military, or employment. Enrollment is open to families and districts as a day program. The school accepts certain Florida scholarships for eligible students with IEPs.
