Science, technology, engineering and math run through reading, writing and social studies at Cypress Trails Elementary, a STEM choice school in Royal Palm Beach. Our students do hands-on science and math activities in their classrooms, build Lego robots to practice problem solving and teamwork, and head off campus for field experiences tied to the curriculum. Title I funds support our school, and every student eats breakfast and lunch for free. Our Media Center offers print and electronic collections and technology instruction that build reading and information skills, and our school counselors support students' academic, career and social-emotional goals. Students can join the Marathon Runners Club and SECME. For working families, the School District of Palm Beach County runs a fee-based afterschool program on our campus for students in grades K to 5. Families request a spot through the district's online portal, seats are filled first-come, first-served, and there is a $35 registration fee once a spot is accepted. Kindergarten families can find enrollment guidance through the district's Getting Ready for Kindergarten resources, and bus information is available through the district.
