Acton Academy Palm Harbor

At Center Academy Palm Harbor, we enroll students in grades 4 through 12. Rolling admission is available during the current school year, subject to space. Center Academy is an accredited private school with a college-preparatory curriculum for students with learning differences. Our school day runs from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; regular campus hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with earliest student arrival at 7:45 a.m. Campus activities include Friday games and activities, Goal Day trips, and visits to museums, science centers, plays and other local destinations.

Fireflies Academy is a private school dedicated to exceptional student education (ESE) for children with neurodiversities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and related diagnoses. The academy's core mission is to equip children with the necessary tools to integrate successfully into society and lead independent lives, focusing on reducing symptoms associated with neurodiversities to enhance the quality of life for families. Key offerings at Fireflies Academy include a comprehensive curriculum that combines movement, academics, and the arts, fostering cognitive growth across all developmental areas. The school employs various therapeutic methodologies, such as Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), speech and language therapy, and occupational therapy, to support each child's unique learning needs. Additionally, social skills groups are integrated into the program to enhance interpersonal interactions and communication. St. Luke Early Childhood Center opened in 1986 as a Catholic preschool in Palm Harbor, and many of our teachers have stayed for years; more than half have 12 or more years at the center. Several staff members are former St. Luke parents, and alumni now send their own children here. We serve children ages 2 to 5 in three classrooms: a Two's room, a Three's room and a VPK class that meets from 9 to 12. We are an approved provider of Florida's free Voluntary Prekindergarten program for 4-year-olds and offer both private and public VPK. Each room has a teacher and an assistant, ratios stay low, and all teachers hold certifications and are trained in first aid, CPR and crisis response. Learning centers on hands-on exploration and creativity in a Catholic setting. Hours run from 8:00 to 2:30 on weekdays.
