About Ivy Prep Learning Center
Ivy Prep Learning Center opened in Clearwater in 2004 in a two-story green house set back from Belcher Road, and the school still has a home-like feel. Our founder taught kindergarten and first grade for 10 years and holds certification in gifted education, and that background shapes a preschool built around advanced learning through play.
Children can start with us in infancy: infant and toddler rooms cover ages 2 months to 24 months, followed by 2 to 3 year old rooms and Pre-K. Small classes let teachers give extra challenge to children who are ready to move ahead. Pre-K students work on letters and sounds, early reading, writing, math, science and geography, and children learn French, Spanish and sign language.
Hands-on experiences fill the week: a butterfly atrium where children raise caterpillars, science experiments, art, music, creative movement, soccer and tennis. Care is available from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. We also offer tutoring and homeschool enrichment for preschool and elementary ages, and Step Up for Students scholarships are accepted for tutoring.

Blossom Montessori School for the Deaf
American Sign Language, spoken English and Montessori methods shape instruction at Blossom Montessori School for the Deaf. Our teachers adapt instruction and use the language that fits each child's learning needs. Small classes give children different ways to explore subjects. Our Clearwater students learn with peers who have varied hearing and communication experiences. We welcome deaf and hard of hearing children ages 3 to 15, from preschool through sixth grade. We also enroll siblings of deaf children, children with deaf parents and a limited number of hearing children. These groups participate in the school while teachers attend to their individual educational needs. Our admission decision concerns whether we can meet an individual child's educational needs. We work through that decision with the family and our school partners. If another placement would fit the child better, we recommend alternatives. Families can use Step Up for Students scholarships and ELC School Readiness assistance. We are a private nonprofit school. Donations and community support also help us fund our programs and classroom experience.
