About Hilltop Balanced Rock Community School

Balanced Rock Community School is part of Hilltop Community Resources, a nonprofit that has served Colorado's Western Slope for 75 years. The school provides a CDE-approved day treatment setting for adolescents in grades 6 through 12 who need a smaller, more supportive environment than a traditional school can offer.

Students receive academics alongside applied behavior analysis, affective education, individual and family therapy, and transition support. The program serves young people navigating serious emotional disorders, behavioral challenges, substance use, and trauma, meeting each student where they are.

Hilltop works in partnership with families, school districts, and human services agencies in Mesa County and the surrounding region, keeping care local and connected to the broader network of family and youth programs Hilltop offers.
