Humanex Academy supports neurodivergent students looking for a safe and supportive community where they can celebrate their strengths and uniqueness, stepping away from a deficit-focused approach. What students share in common is the need for a place to be around peers who are like themselves, allowing academic and social interactions where it is safe to make mistakes and where conflict, disagreement, and resolution are possible with embedded adult coaching. Students often come with diagnoses such as autism spectrum disorder, anxiety, and a range of learning disabilities including executive functioning challenges, and many are identified as twice exceptional. As a fully accredited institution through Cognia, Humanex builds its curriculum around a Universal Design approach so content is accessible to all learners and aligned with Colorado State Standards. Courses are self-paced and designed for individual educational excellence, with teachers meeting each student at their academic level across content areas. Tuition supports a whole-student experience: small class sizes, customized learning paths, relationship-based social coaching, executive functioning scaffolds, real-world learning experiences, and transition planning for the post-secondary journey.
