Brighton Adventist Academy

Brighton, CO Grades K-8
Multi-grade classrooms Christian education Financial aid

Brighton Adventist Academy is a Seventh-day Adventist school for kindergarten through eighth grade in Brighton, Colorado. Our multi-grade classrooms let older students mentor younger ones, and our program moves in three stages: early childhood for kindergarten through second grade, elementary for grades 3 to 5, and middle school for grades 6 to 8. Each school day opens with worship and prayer. Students attend weekly chapel and Bible class, and faith is part of reading, writing, mathematics, science and social studies. We teach the CHERISH core values shared by Adventist schools across the Rocky Mountain Conference, and students put them into practice through service projects, field trips and leadership roles at school and in our churches. As Blackhawks, students in our upper grades can play volleyball, basketball, soccer and other sports based on interest. New students spend time in a classroom and, depending on grade, complete a readiness screening before admission. We offer financial aid and scholarships to eligible families.

Gifted and talented Social emotional learning Four-day school week

Northeast Elementary is a diverse public elementary school in Brighton that follows School District 27J's four-day week, with classes Tuesday through Friday. We meet each student where they are and connect learning to their own backgrounds. We balance academics with social and emotional learning, and our teachers work with outside experts on their own practice. Students have access to English Language Development services, a gifted and talented program with a school-based lead, digital learning, a school library and counseling that includes support for the move to middle school. Before and after school, the district's BOOST program runs Roadrunner's Club on our campus for children ages 5 to 12, and it accepts Colorado Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) funding. Families also support the school through fundraisers that pay for events, supplies and student resources.
