West Valley Occupational Center (WVOC)

West Valley Occupational Center (WVOC) is the largest adult education school in the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD), serving thousands of out-of-school youth and adults since 1965. Located in Woodland Hills, WVOC offers nearly 100 tuition-free courses across multiple program areas including Career Technical Education (CTE), High School Diploma and HiSET equivalency, English as a Second Language (ESL), Citizenship classes, and comprehensive Disability Support Services. The center is accredited by WASC (Western Association of Schools & Colleges) and serves a diverse population including English learners, adults with disabilities, and individuals seeking career advancement. WVOC's experienced educators provide hands-on learning and real-world skills through individualized, online, hybrid, and traditional class formats. The center has awarded thousands of certificates including 293 Adult High School Diplomas, 3,533 ESL Certificates, and 3,233 Career Technical Education Certificates. With an impressive 59% job placement rate for CTE capstone course graduates, WVOC offers certifications in healthcare, automotive technology, information technology, culinary arts, cosmetology, and many other fields. Disability Support Services provide registration assistance, adaptive equipment and software, classroom accommodations, sign language interpreters, and support for students with physical disabilities, hearing/vision impairments, learning disabilities, emotional disabilities, substance abuse recovery, and other health conditions.
