About Montecito High School
Montecito High School is Ramona Unified School District's continuation high school, a small campus on Ninth Street for students who need a different setting to earn their diploma. Our students are the Toros, and our staff includes teachers in math, science, social science, art, physical education and career technical education.
Students who need more flexibility can work with our Future Bound independent study teacher, and an intervention teacher helps students close gaps in their coursework. A school counselor, a school psychologist and a school social worker are part of our team, and a specialized academic instructor supports students with IEPs. We also run the ASSETS program, and students produce a yearbook.
We help students plan beyond graduation. Seniors get guidance on the FAFSA and California Dream Act, local scholarships and military options, and students can look into Palomar College classes offered at the Ramona Community Campus.

Ramona Community Montessori School
Ramona Community Montessori School is a public Montessori school of choice in Ramona Unified School District, serving transitional kindergarten through sixth grade on Ramona Street. Children learn in multi-age Montessori classrooms grouped as TK, kindergarten, first and second grade, third and fourth grade, and fifth and sixth grade, and our teachers meet both Montessori and district standards in language arts, math, science and social science. Beyond the classroom, students take visual art and music with specialist teachers and use our library. A special education teacher and special education para-educators support students with IEPs, and our team includes a school counselor, a school psychologist and a school social worker. An expanded learning program runs on site. Because Montessori is an alternative program, families complete an application and attend a pre-enrollment conference with our administrator so we can make sure the approach is a good match. Enrollment is free and subject to district approval, and families provide their own transportation.
Ramona High School
Ramona High School is the public high school of the Ramona Unified School District, serving grades 9 to 12 on Hanson Lane, and we are fully accredited by the WASC Accrediting Commission for Schools. Career and technical classes are a big part of campus life. Students can take agriculture mechanics and advanced welding with our FFA program, agriscience and floral design, automotive technology, engineering studies, culinary arts and multimedia, and a CalFire safety course, and we host an NJROTC unit. Academic offerings include Advanced Placement courses such as European History and Government and Politics, Spanish, and a library media center. Arts students choose from band, dance productions, theatre and visual arts, and our Bulldogs teams have the support of an athletic trainer. Our special education department includes specialized academic instructors, a teacher for students with extensive support needs and a teacher of the visually impaired. Related services on campus include speech-language therapy, occupational therapy, two school psychologists and two school social workers, alongside our school counselors and a BARR coordinator.
