About Rossier Park Elementary - Orange
Rossier Park Elementary is a California State-certified nonpublic school providing education and therapeutic services for students in kindergarten through 8th grade. It serves students referred by public school districts who require more intense support in self-regulation than available in their public schools, with primary disabilities including autism, emotional disturbance, other health impairment, speech and language impairment, and severe learning disabilities.
The program features small classrooms with a maximum of 12 students, one special education teacher, and at least two instructional aides. It uses a positive reinforcement approach with consistent schoolwide rules, a point and level system, applied behavior analysis, behavior intervention plans, and monthly awards and assemblies. Each student receives 60 minutes of counseling weekly, with two behavior therapists on campus and a speech pathologist available for needed services.
Students are placed through contracts with area public school districts. The school aims to support academic growth at varying levels and assist students in returning to public schools or integrating into their communities.
