Davis Park Christian Academy is a ministry of Davis Park Church of Christ, and our Modesto preschool shares the church's core values of loving God, loving each other and loving our world. Our infant, toddler and preschool rooms take babies and young children up to age 6, and we welcome families from 7:30 each weekday morning until 5:30 p.m. Preschool families use the entrance on Napier Drive. Our teachers work mainly from the Abeka curriculum and pull from other materials alongside it, with Bible teaching part of each day. Schedules come in half-day, school-day and full-day lengths, on two, three or five days, for either the school year or the full year. Preschool rates run from $64 a week for two half days to $275 a week for five full days, with separate toddler and infant rates and a $150 to $200 registration fee. We cook homemade snacks and lunches every day, using whole organic foods when possible, and offer each child the recommended daily servings of fresh fruits and vegetables for their age.

John F. Kennedy School in Modesto is a Stanislaus County Office of Education special education school for students ages 5 to 22 with significant medical needs, mobility challenges, behavioral challenges or other complex learning needs. We serve only special education students, and placement is made by a student's district of residence through the IEP process rather than by parent request. Students work toward the state content standards with significant modifications, taught as functional skills: a math standard may become adding up the cost of a shopping list. Each plan includes vocational training, life skills and transition skills, including mobility. Our Extensive Support Needs MH program serves students with intensive medical and physical needs through nursing services, therapies and the M.O.V.E. curriculum, which teaches sitting, standing, walking and transitions during real activities. Our Extensive Support Needs behavioral program centers on positive behavior and sensory supports so students can regulate and access learning. We follow a 180-day calendar, and qualifying students attend Extended School Year for an additional 19 days in June. Our guiding standard is that everything we do should be Justified, Functional and Kind.
