About Tender Heart Childcare and Pre-School

Tender Hearts ChildKare and Pre-School is a small childcare program in a home setting in Milpitas, caring for children from infancy to age five. Children of different ages play and learn together much like siblings, and our curriculum covers each age group in that range.

Our preschool curriculum introduces early reading, math, science, and social studies through independent discovery, guided activities, and hands-on projects, balanced with phonics, manipulatives, and art. A typical day includes circle time, weather and calendar work, reading, creative writing, arts and crafts, dress-up and pretend play, free play, and outdoor time with running, jumping, and dancing.

We also teach values such as honesty, respect, self-reliance, fairness, and kindness. When a behavior is inappropriate, children learn why and are given acceptable alternatives. We keep in close touch with parents about routines and changes at home so we understand each child's feelings and behavior.

The original campus, at 1146 Jacklin Road in Milpitas, sits near Interstate 680 and across from Golf Land. Indoor and outdoor spaces are arranged for play and lessons. Classes run year-round for toddlers ages 2 to 3 and pre-K children ages 3 to 5.5, and families come from Milpitas, Fremont, Santa Clara, and San Jose. Montessori work includes practical life, sensorial exploration, reading, writing, math, science, and cultural studies. Practical life activities practice independence, coordination, concentration, and a sense of order. Sensorial materials ask children to refine touch and the other senses. Language lessons cover reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Math moves from hands-on counting and place value toward operations. Cultural studies introduce geography, science, and history. Music, art, yoga, and mindful activities are part of the day, and the year includes parent gatherings and field trips.

Level Up Montessori - Milpitas

Milpitas, CA Ages 2-5
Montessori Kindergarten readiness Private school

Level Up Montessori Milpitas cares for children ages 18 months to 6 years in toddler, preschool and pre-K classrooms on South Abbott Avenue. We opened our first school in Hayward in 2021 and brought the same program to Milpitas as we grew into a network of five Bay Area campuses. Our days blend three parts: structured academics for kindergarten readiness, Montessori hands-on work in practical life and cultural study, and weekly art and team projects built around a theme. Toddlers build language and movement through free play, circle time, outdoor play, dance and story time. Preschoolers add reading, math, science and social studies alongside calendar work, creative writing and arts and crafts. In pre-K the focus moves to writing, letter recognition, foundational math and classroom routines to prepare children for kindergarten. We offer full-day care Monday through Friday, with full-time and part-time enrollment. Certified Montessori teachers lead our classrooms, and parents get daily updates and progress sharing through the Brightwheel app. We accept subsidized families and offer a sibling discount.
