Early Childhood Education Center - Lemon Grove

At the Lemon Grove Early Childhood Education Center, part of Lemon Grove School District, our preschool and transitional kindergarten classrooms offer a 50/50 Spanish and English dual immersion program. Children receive half of each day's instruction in Spanish and half in English, building early literacy and numeracy in both languages before kindergarten.

The California State Preschool Program here is free for income-eligible families and serves 3- and 4-year-olds in three-hour classes, Monday through Friday. Transitional kindergarten is for children whose fifth birthday falls after September 2 and runs six hours a day.

Our special education preschool provides early intervention for 3- and 4-year-olds with developmental delays, hearing impairments, vision impairments, motor impairments, autism, and multiple disabilities. Eligibility is based on evaluations by the assessment team or a current IEP, and enrolled children attend three hours a day, five days a week.
