Community school Public school

Jefferson Elementary is home of the Jets, a Dinuba Unified neighborhood school on East Sierra Way serving transitional kindergarten through fifth grade. Our cafeteria opens each morning for breakfast before classes begin, and our library supports reading across every grade. We are a community school, and families can sign students up for after-school clubs through the district's Expanded Learning Opportunities Program. A school counselor and a campus life mentor work with students on site, and many of our students are English learners. School spirit shows up around town. Our students march in Dinuba's Raisin Day Parade, and each October we mark National Bullying Prevention Month with Unity Day, an all-school event that brings every class outside together.

Band color guard and choir

Washington Intermediate is a Schools to Watch designee at both the state and national levels and a recipient of the PBIS Platinum Award. We are part of Dinuba Unified School District in California's Central Valley, and our goal is to help break the cycle of poverty through education. Our band, color guard, and choir compete at local and regional events, and our T-Birds play fall, winter, and spring sports. Clubs and a Campus Life mentoring program round out the day outside class. Students who need extra help can work in our Intervention Resource Classroom or with our academic support teacher, and two counselors serve the campus. Our departments cover a 6th grade core, English language arts, history, math, science, physical education, and electives, and families can register for the Expanded Learning Opportunities Program.
