We are a public elementary school in the Walnut Valley Unified School District, serving kindergarten through fifth grade at our Diamond Bar campus, about 28 miles east of downtown Los Angeles. In math, we partner with the Cotsen Foundation, and our classrooms use Number Sense Routines and Cognitively Guided Instruction. Our teachers are trained in Thinking Maps, G.L.A.D. strategies and IMSE phonics and morphology instruction. Students use our library and media center, and English learners receive dedicated support. Quail Summit follows PBIS, and our school counselor, a licensed LPCC, works with teachers on students' social and emotional needs.
