My Montessori School Coronado

Coronado High School is the public high school of the Coronado Unified School District, located on D Avenue in Coronado. We are accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. Students can follow Pathways for College and Career, sequences of A-G approved courses in engineering, computer science, patient care, woodworking, and media and digital arts. Pathway students connect with local industry through job talks, mentoring, job shadowing and internships, and many programs offer industry certifications and college credit. Advanced Placement courses are open to any student who has completed the prerequisites, and students can continue through dual enrollment at a local community college. Our campus includes the Brian Bent Memorial Aquatics Complex. Beyond the classroom, students take part in athletics, a STEAM program, CHS Robotics, world languages and a long list of clubs, and counselors support course planning, college applications and scholarships.

Coronado Middle School serves sixth through eighth grade in the Coronado Unified School District, and we are a designated Military Purple Star School for military-connected families. Every student has an Advisory period, and the district uses College Prep Mathematics (CPM) as its core math curriculum for grades 6 to 12. Seventh and eighth graders can apply for selective electives such as Advanced Performing Arts, Associated Student Body, KCMS, Advanced Art and Yearbook. Students bring their own devices through our 1:1 program, and each keeps a My Learning Plan. Academic and behavior interventions run through a multi-tiered system of supports, and our clubs include FIRST LEGO League Robotics. Sixth graders attend an annual camp, and the Coronado Schools Foundation and our PTO help fund student programs.
