Rancho High School Independent Study Program

Listed
Arcadia, CAGrades 9-12Tuition-free

Rancho High School is the grades 9 to 12 independent study program of Arcadia Unified, based at Rancho Learning Center inside the Arcadia Education Center. Students choose us voluntarily and transfer from their home campus, and they can return to a traditional high school campus at any time. Most students attend on a three-day morning or afternoon schedule and meet with teachers each week to review coursework, assessments and progress. Courses run in three-week sessions, and students complete at least one course every three weeks to stay on pace toward the 200 credits required for our diploma. The model works well for motivated, independent learners and for students who have fallen behind in credits. Our small community uses Restorative Practices and the Leader in Me character program. Students plan college and career paths in Naviance, can earn elective credit through a community classroom with local business mentors, and may hybrid enroll in select classes at other district schools. A counselor and a school psychologist are part of our staff.
