Baldwin County Virtual School
Baldwin County Virtual School was Alabama's first virtual high school. We give Baldwin County Public Schools students in grades 7 to 12 a fully accredited, flexible way to earn a diploma from home, with campus locations in Daphne, Bay Minette and Foley for in-person support. Our course offerings include honors, advanced and Advanced Placement classes, and high school students can take dual enrollment courses through Coastal Alabama Community College in both academic and technical subjects. Response to Instruction (RTI) is part of how we support students who need extra help. Learning online does not mean missing out on school life. Students join FBLA, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Future Teachers of America, the Spanish National Honor Society and Scholars' Bowl for 7th and 8th graders. Our Pelican Players Theatre Club stages productions such as Clue and inducts members into the International Thespian Society, and Pelicans for Paws, our club for animal lovers, takes field trips and volunteers in the community.
Daphne Middle School
Daphne Middle School was built in 1993 at the corner of County Road 13 and Whispering Pines Road, and a natural wetland sits right on our campus. We serve public school students in grades 7 and 8 who live in the Daphne feeder pattern in Baldwin County, and our program centers on three values: respect, reliability and responsibility. Students choose from interest clubs, service clubs and a sports program that includes soccer, basketball, volleyball and football. Our band performs at district and area concerts, and our art students are selected for local and state competitions. A Parent Teacher Organization supports the school, and we keep resources on hand for military families.
