Hoover Learning Group - Hendersonville

Our Hendersonville office on Country Club Drive offers dyslexia assessments and dyslexia therapy for students from kindergarten through adulthood. Certified Academic Language Therapists (CALTs) conduct our assessments with evidence-based tools, in person or virtually.

We offer three levels of testing. A 30 to 45 minute dyslexia screening checks early reading markers and shows whether a fuller evaluation is warranted. The Early Assessment, built for kindergarten and first grade, includes nine tests with composite scores in reading, spelling, linguistic processing and vocabulary. Our full 23-test assessment adds orthographic processing, comprehension, fluency and reasoning. We walk families through each finding and the recommended next steps.

When therapy is recommended, most students start within a week, working with a CALT in the Take Flight structured literacy curriculum, with benchmark assessments every two to three months. Sessions run in person or virtually, and therapists can meet students on campus when their school allows it. Dyslexia therapy is usually not covered by health insurance, but it may qualify for HSA or FSA reimbursement with our itemized receipts.
