About The Dawson Center, PLLC - Raleigh
Young children are our specialty. We complete initial assessments for children ages 2 to 5, with re-evaluations up to age 6, when parents have concerns about developmental delays, autism, learning, attention, or behavior.
Our psychologist gathers a developmental history and uses adaptive, social-emotional, cognitive, academic, autism, ADHD, and anxiety measures, along with rating scales from teachers or therapists. The family receives a written report with interpretation and tailored recommendations, and we review it together. We also offer in-home evaluations, classroom observations, and parent and educational consultation. Weekend and late-afternoon appointments help busy families, and we now accept insurance.
