Autism Consulting and Therapy, LLC (ACT) is one of Hampton Roads' longest-running ABA companies, founded in 2008 and based in Virginia Beach. ACT provides Applied Behavior Analysis for young children ages 18 months to 5 years diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder or another developmental disability. Its team of RBTs, BCaBAs, and BCBAs works one-on-one with children on receptive and expressive communication, requesting, conversation, toilet training, dressing and grooming, self-regulation, coping, turn-taking, independent and cooperative play, and social skills. Services include a free initial phone consultation, insurance verification, assessment, individualized treatment plans, twice-monthly parent and caregiver consultation, ABA in a social skills group setting with one-on-one support, and school observation and IEP collaboration.
Acorn Health – Virginia Beach
Our Virginia Beach center provides ABA therapy in clinic and home settings, along with autism diagnostic services. Our clinic is at 348 Southport Circle, Suite 101, and is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturday appointments are available. We work with Virginia Medicaid, TRICARE, Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Virginia, and Sentara Health Plans. For early intervention, families can meet with a clinical team member for a consultation within ten days of contacting admissions.
