School profile
Overview
DUC Learning Center is dedicated to fostering a community of lifelong learners through personalized education tailored to meet the unique needs of students, particularly those with language-based learning disabilities and other exceptionalities. Serving a diverse age range, the center emphasizes a commitment to excellence both inside and outside the classroom. With a focus on innovative teaching methodologies, DUC Learning Center offers one-on-one tutoring services, parental life coaching, student life coaching, and specialized workshops for elementary and middle school children. The center's low student-teacher ratio ensures that each child receives individualized attention, allowing for a supportive learning environment that encourages academic growth and personal development. Unique community events further enrich the educational experience, fostering strong partnerships with families and creating an inclusive atmosphere where every student can thrive.
Founded in the year 2000 and becoming a non-profit in 2014, our learning center has seen growth and development in the lives of its students. We are a California Department of Education certified school. We find that public school class sizes negatively affect students, especially those who suffer from learning disabilities. In addition to offering a more intimate and individualized learning experience, we utilize technology as one of our approaches in addressing learning disparities. Our programs use a multi-sensory approach to help students with learning, reading and math difficulties. Please check out our website for more information.
