Northern Utah Autism Program

The Northern Utah Autism Program (NUAP) is a dedicated preschool initiative tailored for children aged 3 to 5 who have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Located within the Davis and Ogden School Districts, this program focuses on fostering growth and development in a nurturing environment that recognizes the unique needs of each child. NUAP employs evidence-based methodologies, including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), within a structured classroom setting designed to enhance learning and social skills. The program prides itself on maintaining a low student-teacher ratio, ensuring personalized attention that facilitates meaningful progress. The Northern Utah Autism Program is a preschool program for children with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. It is funded by a legislative grant. We service Ogden and Davis School District. It is based on the model originated at the Children’s Behavioral Treatment Unit (CBTU) model. This model is research and evidenced based. It utilizes behavior modification techniques and discrete trial sessions. We focus on attending and compliance, language and cognition, self-help and social skills, and parent participation.
