Miami Learning Experience School offers comprehensive support services including before school care (7:00 AM - 8:00 AM), after school care (2:30 PM - 6:00 PM), enrichment programs, and a summer camp program providing enriching activities, field trips, and socialization opportunities. Middle School Program

High School Program
Comprehensive support for students transitioning into adulthood. Includes academic instruction in core subjects plus vocational training opportunities. The Shannon Adult Program (Full Time)
Supports adults with developmental disabilities through functional academics, independent living skills preparation, self-care, employment opportunities (supported and independent), and social/leisure skills. Collaborates with community organizations for real-life instruction through volunteer support partnerships.
The Shannon Adult Program (3 Days)
Part-time adult program offering the same comprehensive support as full-time program, designed for adults who benefit from a reduced schedule.
The Shannon Adult Program (2 Days)
Flexible part-time option for adults requiring minimal program days while still receiving essential support services.
Community Based Instruction (CBI)
Educational instruction in authentic community environments providing real-life experiences. High school students visit stores like Publix, Winn-Dixie, CVS, and Walgreens with shopping lists, practicing transactions and developing practical life skills.
Interactive Fine Arts Program
Transformative platform encompassing performing arts and visual arts. Includes theater, dance, music, and visual arts with adapted techniques for diverse abilities. Fosters creativity, self-expression, social skills, self-confidence, and emotional well-being. Regular performances and exhibitions showcase student work.
Special Olympics
Extensive athletic program partnering with Special Olympics. Students participate in track and field, golf, tennis, softball, bowling, basketball, and more. Weekly practice leads to local competitions in Miami-Dade County, with many athletes advancing to state-level competitions in Orlando.
Vocational Training & On-The-Job Training
Work Exploration Volunteer Program providing on-the-job training at various job sites with Job Coaches. Students gain practical workplace skills, learn proper attire, workplace etiquette, and develop job readiness competencies through real-world experiences.
Miami Learning Experience Designs (Micro Business)
Participants learn economics, supply and demand, and daily business operations while creating resin art products. Regular participation in local farmers markets in Miami-Dade County. Currently launching an Etsy store. Products include jewelry, coasters, and trays made from epoxy resin.
Daily Living Skills & Independent Living
Comprehensive life skills training in a fully equipped residential-style learning environment. Features a full bedroom, washer and dryer, full-working kitchen, and bathroom. Teaches essential skills for maximum independence in daily living activities.
Before School Care
Available Monday-Friday from 7:00 AM - 8:00 AM. Registration by semester (Fall: August 13 - December 18, Spring: January 5 - May 29). Payment due in full at semester start. Daily fee of $25 for non-registered students in emergency situations.
After School Care (Regular)
Comprehensive after-school program with various activities, technology time, independent and social play. Registration by semester. Payment due in full at semester start. Daily fee of $25 for emergency situations.
After School Care (Mini)
Shorter after-school option for families needing extended care until 4:00 PM. Includes same activities as regular program with earlier dismissal time.
Enrichment Program
After-school enrichment programs offering arts and crafts, music, sports, dance, cooking, drama, and more. Activities adapted for different abilities with individualized support. Promotes growth, development, socialization, and overall well-being.
Summer Camp
Inclusive and enriching summer camp for current and future students. Offers fun activities and unforgettable field trips to local museums, amusement parks, nature reserves, and community centers. Fosters social skills, confidence, and lifelong friendships in a nurturing environment.
Physical Education
Designed for both students and adults to promote physical fitness, motor skill development, and social interaction.
