Primrose School of Wayne sits on French Hill Road just off I-80, near Preakness Valley Golf Course and Fallon Elementary. We are a family-owned Primrose franchise, opened about seven years ago by an owner who holds a New Jersey K-5 teaching certificate and spent seven years directing child care centers. Cognia accredits our school, and our hours are 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on weekdays. Our classrooms follow children from infancy through Pre-K. Infants and toddlers come first, followed by Early Preschool for 2-year-olds, where teachers help with skills like potty training and hand washing. Preschool Pathways serves children whose birthdays fall after the kindergarten cutoff, keeping them with the same group of peers. Preschool and Pre-K build early math and literacy through play, teacher-guided questions and discussion. Lessons follow Primrose's Balanced Learning approach, which mixes child-initiated and teacher-guided activities, and a cast of classroom puppets, the Primrose Friends, helps teach traits like honesty, generosity and compassion. In summer, our Summer Adventure Club gives school-age children weekly hands-on themes such as sports, robotics and art.
