The Wonder Years Academy - Fanwood

The Wonder Years Academy began in 1999 after our founder, a West Point graduate and former U.S. Army officer, and his wife, also a veteran, struggled to find child care they trusted for their six-week-old son with family living hundreds of miles away. Today our veteran-owned, family-operated center on South Avenue in Fanwood cares for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and pre-kindergarten students in small groups.

Teachers use The Creative Curriculum for hands-on, play-based lessons in language, literacy, math, science and social-emotional skills, and our infant rooms follow the New Jersey Birth to Three Early Learning Standards. Children also take part in the Sing-A-Song multisensory music program and Amazing Athletes for gross motor development, and they play on a large outdoor playground.

Hours run from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Older children can join before and after school care, and our summer program takes field trips to local spots. Parents get daily updates on meals, naps, diapering and activities through the Procare app and can watch their child's classroom live through WatchMeGrow cameras. Enrollment can often be completed in one business day.
