Pathways Early Education Center of Immokalee opened in 1964 as the first child care center in Immokalee, and for more than 60 years we have prepared the community's youngest children for kindergarten. Our enrollment starts with 4-week-old babies in the infant rooms and goes up to 5-year-olds in our voluntary pre-kindergarten (VPK) program. Every classroom uses the Creative Curriculum, built on 38 objectives for development and learning tied to school readiness standards, and teachers track each child's progress with Teaching Strategies GOLD. We are nationally accredited through the National Accreditation Commission (NAC) and hold a Gold Seal certification from the Department of Education. Through our partnership with the USDA food program, all children receive a nutritious breakfast, lunch and after-school snack. We are a nonprofit, and donors help fund tuition assistance so local families can afford quality care. Families who want to enroll join our waitlist, and tours of the center are available.
