Syracuse Arts Academy Antelope Jr. High

Our Syracuse preschool uses hands-on materials to introduce counting, reading and other early learning skills. Children choose activities in a prepared environment and return materials when they finish. Circle time includes songs and show-and-tell, with routines that help children practice personal space and classroom organization. We use math manipulatives, phonics games, letter tracing and writing activities. Science includes exploring gears, levers, pulleys and ramps. Picture books, music and role play also have a place in the day. Themes change from year to year for children who continue with us.

Little Learners Kindergarten Prep Preschool is dedicated to providing a quality early childhood education for children aged 4 to 5, focusing on a well-rounded curriculum designed to prepare them for the transition to kindergarten. The school's core mission centers around nurturing young minds through engaging and imaginative learning experiences in a safe, supportive environment. With small class sizes limited to eight students, each child receives personalized attention, ensuring they thrive academically and socially. The teaching approach incorporates diverse learning methods tailored to individual needs, such as integrating visual aids, storytelling, and American Sign Language (ASL) to enhance literacy skills. Daily activities are thoughtfully structured to include dramatic play, music, art, and fine motor skill development, fostering creativity and collaboration among peers. Under the leadership of Ms. Jackie Rawlins, Little Learners stands out for its strong family partnerships and commitment to each child's unique learning journey. The school also emphasizes community involvement through special events that enrich the educational experience, making it an exceptional choice for families seeking a nurturing preschool environment.
